This guy is psycho ! This guy is mad! He must be really mad! He really has lost his mind! “You!!” Amber was getting annoyed now. “Didn’t you hear me? I don’t want to marry you! I don’t know you, and I don’t love you!” "I DON'T WANT TO MARRY YOU !" She shouted in his ears. Zachary's face darkened. “Who do you want to marry then? Nick Hudson ? Well, he’s your brother-in-law now. If you haven't got your memory lost..” Zachary exposed the truth mercilessly. “You aren’t thinking of getting with him again, are you? If you will, that will be too shameless and you will be called spineless. ” He rubbed her chin with his thumb as he awaited her answer. “Well?” Amber swatted his hand away. “What does that have to do with you? Why must you marry me? This is mad! You are mad! Its impossible...” Her sapphire blue eyes held panic in them. “You’re the first woman who doesn’t repulse me.” Zachary twirled her dark brown locks on his index finger. “What?” Amber was stunned and speechless. Is he even a normal human being? Repulse? My foot! Zachary pursed his lips before he let Amber go. The woman took this chance to put some distance between them. She wanted to feel safe, even if for a bit. He is dangerous! Zachary smirked at her response. “It’s simple. You pounced on me last night, and I wasn’t repulsed by your touch. And another reason is that you won't be behind my wealth and power like a gold digger. That's it.” Amber's eyes were bigger than a saucer and her mouth was wide open. She looked so comical hearing his reasons. " You know what, you are mad. I would strongly suggest you see a psychiatrist, right this moment." Amber seriously suggested him so. Zachary narrowed his eyes. “Why don’t we make a deal?”. He ignored her rambling and looked into her eyes. Amber said nothing. Zachary turned around and sat on the sofa. “I need a wife, and you fit the description.” “You’re insane.” Who does he think he is? Not repulsed by me? ”You should see a doctor if you have a condition, Mr. Rodrigeuz. I'm suggesting you so time and time again.” “Don't hurry and worry. You don’t have to give me an answer right now, Miss. Miller. I’ll give you time to think about it.” Zachary called someone in the meantime. A moment later,Leo came in with a bag. “I have done as you requested, sir. Here are Miss. Miller’s clothes.” Zachary lifted his chin, wordlessly telling Leo to give it to Amber. She hesitated for a moment before taking the bag and going into the bathroom. Surprisingly, the clothes fit her perfectly, as if they had been custom-made. Even the lingerie was a perfect size. As Amber looked at her reflection, she kept calling Zachary a pervert quietly, but her face suddenly fell when she remembered the turn of events of yesterday. She had never expected her boyfriend to hook up with her sister behind her back. They had been video calling each other daily but she never thought he was two timing her. She was the victim here, but everyone was saying she was a homewrecker. Even her mother was at her sister’s side. Amber turned on the faucet and splashed her face with some water in an attempt to force her tears back. She wasn't that weak though. She had regained her composure before exiting the bathroom, but her reddened eyes sold her out. Zachary glanced at her before he looked away quickly. “Call me once you’ve thought it through, Miss. Miller.” He knew she had cried inside there but decided not to mention and break her brave exterior. He handed her a name card, while she looked at him in doubt. Zachary put it in her hand. “Don’t say no to a kind offer. You won't regret it. ” “Kind offer?” You must have a hidden agenda! This bastard! Amber stared at the name on the card, and when she saw his designation, it took her by surprise. “You—” Zachary played with her fringe, stunning her. The man took the chance to leave. Before he did, he said, “I await your good news.” Amber looked at the leaving man in a daze. Zachary Rodriguez! No wonder his name sounded familiar. Zachary Rodriguez was the most powerful entity in the United States. The Rodriguez can turn the whole country upside down if they want. They practically run the economy. Am I doomed? No wonder he doesn’t care about anything. The Millers and Hudsons are probably insignificant to him, just like small insects. Amber lowered her head and gripped the name card tightly. Zachary Rodrigeuz’s name had now occupied her mind, and was impossible to erase. Why does a powerful man like him want to marry someone infamous like me? Amber couldn’t understand it, but she didn’t dwell on it. After putting the card in her bag, she took a deep breath and left. After her departure, Leo turned a corner, appearing from the shadows. He looked at the woman leaving before calling Zachary. “Miss. Miller has left, sir.” Amber hailed a ride home after exiting The Allure. Because of her strained relationship with her parents, as well as for convenience, she chose to move somewhere closer to her workplace. After she got out of the car, Amber stood near her neighborhood, falling into a trance. Nick Hudson was the one who had helped her when she was moving in. They had even promised to get engaged when the time was right, and then they would get married. She didn’t expect it all to become a cruel joke, nor did she predict that she would be portrayed as the homewrecker. A third wheel! Shi Nuan felt as if all the events of the day before had been a dream, a bad one. But it was real; it had happened. And her bleeding heart is proof of that. It wasn't a dream. “ Thank God! You’re back, Amber.” The moment Amber stepped out of the elevator, she saw Amelia standing outside her home, looking tense and anxious. Amber furrowed her brows and turned to leave right there and then, but someone grabbed her arm. “Amber.” Amber stiffened. She wanted to fling Nick's hand away, but he held her arm tightly. “Where did you go? Amy and I have been waiting for you the whole night. Don’t you know that we’ll get worried about you?” “Worried?” Amber wanted to cackle. She looked up into Nick’s eyes. “Do you actually worry about me? If you did, you would have never cheated on me. ” “Please don’t lash out at us, Amber.” Amelia went over, her high-heels clicking on the floor. She pried Nick's hand off Amber and grabbed her sister’s hand instead. “I know what we did was wrong, but Nick and I love each other. You don’t know how he went through hell the years you were gone. I was the one who had been taking care of him, so Amber—” “Hah! You’re the one who has been taking care of him? Well, thank you then. You knew he was my boyfriend, and yet you took care of him for me? What are you planning, Amelia Miller?!” Amber roared. When she felt a stab of pain coming from her arm, Amber frowned and flung Amelia's hand away, causing her to stumble. The latter screamed, staggered backward, and fell down. Nick quickly rushed over to her and held Amelia in his arms. When he looked at Amber, disappointment was apparent on his face. “You’ve gone too far, Amber. Even if your sister and I have broken your heart, what’s done is done. I am engaged to her now. Why won’t you accept the truth?” “I’m not accepting the truth? You’re the ones who came here!” Amber did not expect Nick to turn out this way. He was actually scolding her because of Amelia. “Get this right – I blessed you guys during the engagement banquet. Do whatever you want! You can even get married for all I care, but just don’t show up in front of me! It’s disgusting to see filthy people like you!” Amber roared at both of them. “Fvck off! Now!” “How can you yell at us, Amber?” Amelia looked at her, disappointed, as if Amber was the one in the wrong here, not her. “Nick and I came here to clear things up with you. We didn’t mean to hurt you. W-We really does love each other.” “Really? You disgust me.” Amber looked at her sister coldly. She used to think her sister was a weak woman. Since Amelia had saved her back then, Amber would give her everything she wanted, no matter what. However, that didn’t mean she was easy to mess with. She thought back on all the times Amelia had snatched away the things she treasured the most. “If you like secondhand items that much, Amelia Miller, then take it as you like. Collecting filthy objects isn’t my hobby anyway..” “Why you…” Nick looked at Amber angrily. He raised his hand to slap her, but someone grabbed his arm mid-air. Amelia shook her head pitifully as she held his arm with both hands. “Don’t do it, Nick. Amber is still young, so I don’t blame her for being rude. She must be really hurt.”
