Yours Forever, My Love!

Chapter-1

It was the start of winters in New York. Amber Miller had just landed from her flight with her luggage in tow. She took a deep breath, taking in the long-lost, yet familiar scent. The place where she grew up, met her love of life held a very special spot in her heart.

She had gone to Australia to further her studies for five years as a representative of her company, and she was finally back now. To her family and her love.

When she thought about how it would be her boyfriend's birthday in a week, she worked around the clock so that she could come back earlier, hoping to give him a surprise. But she had only managed to come on the day of his birthday.

The young lady quickly hailed a cab to Hudson Enterprises. When she walked into the company, Mia Smith, the receptionist, looked at her with an initial shock which turned into a mocking or degrading smirk. “You’re finally back, Miss Miller, So, did you also get invited to the banquet tonight, Miss Miller?” She asked with a hint of disdain in her voice, which obviously didn't get unnoticed by Amber.

Amber frowned, perplexed by what Mia was saying. “The banquet? What are you talking about, Mia? Ofcourse I am your president's girlfriend, why wouldn't I be invited to his big day?” But the truth was she didn't had any sort of knowledge or invitation about this Banquet but knowing the fact that the Hudson are big shots and, class family, she thought, may be the banquet was just a birthday celebration party held for her love.

"Is he in the office?" Amber asked with adoration in her eyes. It was so apparent that she loved him to the moon and back.

"No, Miss Miller, President is on leave for a month from today," Mia informed her, which shocked her to her core.

What! Nick Hudson, the certified workaholic on leave! That too for a whole month!! .. She couldn't believe her ears.

She gave Mia a small smile, took her phone from her handbag, and called Nick. But even after ringing 3 times his phone gave the busy signal. So she tried calling everyone, her sister, her mother and her father but all she heard was the same monotonous voice, 'The number you are trying to reach is currently busy...”

Her face fell visibly and emotions surfaced on her face.

Turning to Mia, she gave her a polite smile," Umm, Mia could you please tell me about this banquet, if you don't mind? I totally forgot about the venue. Actually, I just came back from Australia and directly came here to meet Nick. So the name of the venue might have slipped away from my mind". She thought that she would surprise everyone and her love with her sudden appearance. Oh.. how surprised and elated he would be!

“Yes, sure, Miss Miller, The banquet would be held in The Grand Royal Hotel"

Amber smiled at Mia "Oh, yes! The grand royal Hotel, It just slipped away.. Thanks a lot" She thanked her and turned on her heel and walked away.

Amber got out of the car at the main door of the hotel. Before she even could enter, she saw a photo of a couple displayed on the big screen. They looked so real yet dreamy. A man clad in a navy blue suit was hugging very possessively yet tenderly a beautiful young girl dressed in a baby pink floral dress. They looked as familiar as the back of her own hand. Nick was hugging Amelia, who looked like a Disney princess. They were looking at each other with love. The love.

The love which was once her. Once? He was still her boyfriend. This must be some misunderstanding.

Amber tried to comfort herself by saying Nick was her boyfriend, so it was impossible that he had anything to do with Amelia immorally.

The way he held her waist possessively suggested something else.

Maybe, I am thinking too much... I should be open minded.

However, the god was not on her side. Reality was a harsh slap to her face.

Once she entered, Amber saw Nick whispering something to Amelia and kissed her on her cheeks, making the latter blush. What she saw made her face turn red with rage. What a joke.

Amelia was toasting the guests with Nick Hudson.

Amber walked to Nick. They both looked so lovey dovey that Amber felt her heart bleed.

He sounded so gentle, and loving with Amelia. Amber felt like she had been stabbed with a knife.

She was just standing behind the couple. She could hear people congratulating them.

"Aww... They look so cute".

" Just made for each other ".

" I'm envious of their love. Oh good! my eyes can't bear their love" The ladies gushed and giggled.

Her eyes turned red with anger and unshed tears. She couldn't bear this anymore.

She said through gritted teeth, “Your engagement? You cheated on me, Nick Hudson! Do you not feel sorry at all? And you, Amelia Miller! Are you really that thirsty for men and attention? You knew he’s my boyfriend, so how dare you—”

“You brat!” Someone gave her a hard slap across the face.

Amber held her throbbing cheek, her eyes tearing up. “Mom!”

“Don’t call me that! I don’t have a daughter like you! Your sister just got engaged today, and instead of blessing her, you come here and caused a ruckus! You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?!” Britney Miller gnashed her teeth and glared at Amber.

Amber's heart skipped a beat. “What are you talking about, mom? Nick was my boyfriend! Didn't you all knew that? Didn't Amelia knew that I love him and I wanted to marry him once I came back?”

“What do you mean he’s your boyfriend? He’s your brother-in-law! Why do you have to fight with your sister over everything? You are such an unfilial and ungrateful brat! You disappoint me!”

" Mom?" Amber couldn't speak anything. As if she forget how to speak suddenly.

“Haha!” Amber suddenly let out a snee.. She looked at her mother, who was twisting the facts, she turned to her father who just stood being a silent spectator, before she looked at Nick Hudson. “You tell her! Who’s your girlfriend, Nick Hudson?”

Nick frowned, feeling flustered as he looked at Amber Miller, but the grip on his arm sobered him up. “Sorry, Amber, but the person I love has always been your sister. You just was a way to reach her. I never loved you. All that was to make Amelia my love, jealous."

Amber could feel her heart being shredded to pieces as Nick Hudson answered her calmly. He brutally stabbed her heart.

"Remember that Nick Hudson, Karma is a b***h. I will make you all pay for this." She looked again at all the stranger people to whom she once called her family. It took all Amber Miller had to not go up there and tear them apart. “I hope you spend the rest of your lives together forever, Unhappily and in misery.”
