Dean’s POV…..
I was so upset when she found the house. But it was easier to control my anger. She found the initials on the rail and I heard her heart skip a beat and dangerously slow down. She was envisioning something that hurt her and even though she hid it I saw her eyes begin to water up.
Amon whimpered in my head , it surprised me that he was worried about her well being.
I walked up the steps I was so certain I’d never step again. I reached for the key I had hid in the porch lamp and put it in the key hole.
I swear I wanted to chicken out, my heart was racing so fast it felt like it wanted to jump out of my chest.
My hands felt clammy and my mouth was so dry.
