“So you’re abandoning us?” Talia asked with a cracky voice.
“Don’t think of this that way.” I tried explaining.
“How exactly are we supposed to think of it?” Cam snapped at me. “Ever since your meeting with Beta Samuel all you’ve been about is helping Alpha Aldren. You renounced your rule and completely shut us out of this whole war with the vampires. But Sonia had died so I understood why you would want to keep us at a distance if you could.
