Dimitri’s face darkened as he quickly signaled for silence, his hand reaching toward a concealed weapon holstered at his side. “We need to move, now,” he whispered urgently, glancing toward an emergency exit at the far end of the room. “There’s a passage through the basement, but it won’t hold them for long.” Leila’s heart pounded in her chest as she signaled her team to follow.
