Trapped

"Come" He said. And so she did. He studied her, cautiously looking at her with his head tilted to the side, he accessed her body and the glow of her caramel skin, her curly brown hair and when he had stared enough, he revealed a dazzling set of pearly white teeth in a sexy grin. "Alice" He called her. "please sit" He gestures to the seat beside him. "I have no intention of staying here any longer. I appreciate your hospitality but I have to leave. I must see my father. I came here to ask for a phone because your housekeeper for some reason has never heard of one" She spoke up boldly. He sighed and closed his book, directing his full attention to her. "Forgive Greta. she's stuck in her times. However, I cannot grant you that wish" Every trace of charm in his demeanor, gone and replaced with a stern look that sent chills down her spine. "What do you mean?" she asked in disbelief. "You cannot leave the Manor" He stated and got up to meet her. He towered over her by a couple inches and met her brown eyes. "Are you insane?" She moved away from him. "Everyone in this house is f*****g weird. Thank you for your hospitality but I'll see myself out" She snapped at him before walking towards the door. He chuckled and picked up his book. "Ask Greta for whatever you need. The house is very accommodating" She rolled her eyes as the giant doors opened before walking through it. She took the stairs down towards the path she came only everything looked completely different. The paintings had moved places and the stairways were mismatched. The entrance is the exist and the exit is always down. "I'll go down" she told herself. Only, the deeper she went the more confused she became. An hour later, she found a door and opened it. More staircases and doors. "What the hell is this place? I'm dreaming, aren't I? This can't be real" She fell to the stairs and closed her eyes wishing to be woken up from this bizzare dream. "It's called The Devil's Manor. Only the devil himself knows how to get out of this place" A tired voice said. She turned to see a teenage boy around 19. His facial features eerily similar to Lily, the little girl from earlier. Brown hair, blonde eyes. He didn't have her energy though. He was awfully tired so he laid on a step not far from her. "Why am I here?" She asked him. "I wouldn't know. No one knows. Maybe the bastard knows. He gets a sick kick out of this you know, You should just go back to your room. Some of us have been here for decades" "Decades?" "Time doesn't work the same here as it does out there" "What kind of monster would do this? The Master? He did this?" "More like it's his fault. It happened" He bit his thumb and made a 'tsk' sound. "How do I get to him? How does anyone move around this place with all these ridiculous stairs" He laughed. "Intention. This place has a mind of its own. it's as twisted as the bastard who owns it. Just think of where ever you want to go. Whoever you want to see and the stairs will align with your destination" He got up and extended a hand to her. "How many people live here?" She said taking it. "Could be thousands. Some are lost. some never make it to our side. For now we're 7 plus you in the east wing. It's where he sleeps so he keeps very few people on this side. Lydia and Sebastian made it from the west. Apparently, it's a war zone on the other side. We got lucky. I'd refrain from wandering. The house could flip itself whenever it likes" "What's his name?" she asked curiously. "Nobody knows everyone calls him Master and worships him like some God...." he pauses. We should go." He started walking up the stairs. "So I'm trapped here... forever?" He doesn't answer.
