Chapter Seven A Bright Future The DC-4 carrying Gus and Soo-ah prepared for landing at Pearl Harbor Airfield. It was a sunny Sunday morning at about 10:00 o’clock. They’d departed Seoul Saturday evening, then landed at Midway Island to refuel before leaving early the next morning. Chaplin Ross performed a ceremony for Gus and Soo-ah Saturday afternoon at the field hospital. The nurses organized a small reception, then the newlyweds left for the airfield. Lt.
