Fate Provides a Meeting
Three years skipped by since Art stepped off the plane in Dutch Harbor. Art and his uncle began implementing their continuity plan. Art jumped right in and learned quickly. He’d passed his test to become a skipper, and the crews respected him and his leadership.
Art received a letter from his SEAL team commander letting him know that Kenny Creighton, one of the men injured on Art’s first mission, never really recovered due to a permanent brain injury. The doctors did save Kenny’s eye, but after the head injury Kenny struggled. The injury had rendered Kenny child-like, simple, unable to make a decision, or to plan things out. The commander’s letter indicated that as far as the commander knew, Kenny lived on the streets in Baltimore.
