When I wake up, it's past midnight and my phone is ringing. I grab the phone and stare at the screen, and it's one of those forgotten alarms. I don't even remember when I set it.
I am no longer on the couch but in the bedroom. I know Knox brought me here. I search the bed and he isn’t there. I sit up and when I look around, he is standing near the window, staring outside.
“ Hey,” I say.
He turns to look at me and smiles before he stares back out of the window. His face doesn’t light up as it normally does when he smiles.
The room is dimly lit, and the atmosphere feels soft. The moon is peaking from the window, and it shines its light on Knox. He looks so gorgeous standing there, at his full height, with his muscular arms crossed on his muscular naked chest.
