The night air carried whispers when one knew how to listen. I had always trusted my instincts more than anything.. My Instinct had raised me, guided me, and saved me countless times through the years. Tonight, it pulled me to the borders between our territory and Alpha Darius’s.
The forest was unnervingly quiet. There were no patrols or hunting howls.. Darius territory had shifted in silence as though someone had smothered the fire of battle just as it was beginning to blaze. I had been watching Elder Varn, he looked suspicious to me for a while now.. That was why I had taken it upon myself to follow him tonight.
