Alpha Darius’ POV
I heard a knock on my door, I had been awake long before, pacing my chamber, my mind was restless. When I opened it, Elder Varn stood with his hood drawn low.
“Alpha Darius,” he greeted me, bowing faintly. “ I came immediately. There are whispers I thought you should hear.”
I gestured him inside.. “Whispers,” I repeated. “What kind?”
He folded his hands, his voice deliberate. “Of the girl. Selena, we have underestimated her.”
My brows furrowed. That half-demon creature..
“ What information do you have?”
“She is not what they think she is,” Varn said. “ Alpha Karren’s men whisper that she has been behind the victories in the battles. I guess she's not as weak as I thought.” His eyes flashed.
My jaw tightened.. I knew Karren couldn't defeat the wolf spirit alone..
