Karren’s POV
The howl cut across the stillness of dawn, I was already on my feet before the second howl echoed..
“ Why am I restless??” I thought.
I got up from my bed and walked to the window.. the courtyard looked busy..
I wore my coat and went out..
The soldiers rushed through the courtyard. I caught one by the shoulder.
“What happened?” My voice was sharper than I intended, but the soldier’s trembling lips told me hesitation would earn him worse.
“Alpha Karren… It's Lady Selena. A young werewolf reported she saw her being captured and kidnapped as she hid in the shadows.. we have confirmed gone.”
For a second, I forgot how to breathe.
