Forgotten bonds

The Travel home.

With the first group going at top speed I chose to slow our pace to a calm walk I know the trip well it will take us 3 days running or not. Jay is with me along with 8 others.

" penny for your thoughts Luna. " we had been walking a hour or 2 and I had been silent.

" I know she is safe with him. he is her father. is it wrong that I wanted you to run her home and him to run with me. " The pity on his face made me shudder. " let's move forward."

few hours later we came to camp. the faster crew Had a fire going and a fresh kill cooking.

There was a few tents set up but nothing special. I smelt fresh deer on the spit. I was starving. Looking for my daughter i find her on the side watching her father and his men at the fire. She had the look of irritation on her face.

" Whats wrong my warrior princess?"

I slowly walked up to her knowing in this state she could be dangerous to everyone.

" I saw the deer first but my oh so generous father, insisted that I let a warrior take it down. I had to stop and help make camp, then sit quietly till you arrived. " Jay was behind me laughing in his arm. A smile came to my face. " My love did it occur to you that your father wanted to protect you and get to know you? you are a very rare and beautiful pup, he just needs a chance."

Jaina huffed, "Then he shouldn't take my kill. " staring at the fire her aura started to calm down. I walked closer to her intending on getting a hug.

"I warned you this was going to be hard, different from our lives. your father is alpha, and like any ruler has rules and society to answer to. Unfortunately that means we must play by their rules as well."

Grumbling she stood and gave me a hug. I'll behave mama but he needs to let me hunt. or this will not last long." she knew half the reason we came back was because I missed my mate.

Gustav was sitting across the fire, watching us interact, his facial expression evident of his lack of want to let her hunt. I went to him hoping our bond could be healed and we could have a chance.

"I have set up a tent for us with one next to Jay for Jaina. I had thought she would be a little more lady like. " I scoffed

" you sent us in to wild country, no men or shifters for hundreds of miles and you want a perfect princess. no Gustav. she is a warrior, hardworking and very stubborn. she bows to Jay during training but thats it. "

He looked disgruntled. " then maybe mother was right and I need a heir raised in court." my heart stopped. I had feared it was his mother that got to him. when I was discovered pregnant I and our child had been threatened, so he chose to send us away. never finding the source of the threat. His mother had always wanted her pick for Luna, not fated but she would make a beautiful art piece for the pack.

" so you wish for us to go. if you have no interest in me or Jaina taking her rightful place as your heir then I will take us back to our home. we are safer there."

his eyes shifted a dark blue, " no mate, i want you. I need you. ignore human he is i***t. " I giggled. Jasper was Gustavs wolf. we connected far more then our human counterparts.

" id love nothing more then to be with you Jasper, but if Gustav wants to start over and forget us then as the weaker wolf i must accept that. on top of the fact of the dangerous predicament he puts us in if others knew we are out of favor. we could be killed and quickly. "

Jasper went quite. stroking my hair. " I have missed you my love, but you are right Gustav puts you in danger. I told him for control his nonsense but his mother won out a month ago, that stupid slut lives in the palace now." my veins ran cold. I didn't want a fight. i just wanted my love and a safe place to raise our pup.

" then I should leave Jasper. I dont want her attacks, or what comes with it. do they know of my return." he looked down ashamed.

"no just the guards, he knows i won't let harm come to you but they can't ignore a direct order. "

Jasper looked genuinely ashamed of the position he had placed me in.

" My love I can not live without you. my human has been convinced otherwise by his stupid human mother. She disrespects the bond and refuses to see you as a option. "

I looked at him then, he had taken complete control of Gustav and there was no way he was giving it back.

" I understand Jasper, but Jaina is young and wild with a temper that rivals your own, im omega with no fighting skills of my own. If Gustav sleeps with her while im in the castle I will die, and Jaina will kill him. " It was not a understatement, my daughter had no love for her father. but a fierce love for me .

" I have agreed to go all the way to the estate, but if we are attacked, instinct will drive us back to the woods. "

Jasper sighed, knowing he migh not have a say in how this turns out.

" then my beautiful mate let me be with you now before my human f***s us both over. He doesn't know where you are located, Jay won't give him exact details, so if you run hide your sent double around but home should be safe. if he chooses the tramp I will take temporary control long enough to oder Jay to take the two of you to safety and stay there. "

I smiled my Jasper my strong wolf protector, the one my wolf pines for i love. I hug him and kiss his head. "then let us have a night together. "

many of the men smiled and looked away as I was lead to the tent that would be ours for the night.
