Chapter 47 On the third morning, the archers took the field. “Choose your bow!” the fieldman shouted. “Spears next!” Dozens of targets stood at the far end of the field. The ground warriors gathered on their half of the field and selected long bows—weapons that extended from the ground to well above their heads—for long-range shooting.
