62. Box of Sweetness

Naomi was used to waking up to a lot of things. Many of them were coming from her window, passing through her ears. Sometimes she would hear a few gentle chirps of birds. Other times, she would bask in the warmth of the sun permeating her skin. On rainy days, she would bolt up as loud roars of thunder would pull her from the night, only to realize that it wasn’t night anymore, despite the darkness of the sky. It was the first time that Naomi is waking up to something foreign. The stimulus is definitely not coming from the outside anymore. And most importantly, it isn’t passing through her ears.
