Yael snickered the moment he got Liberty’s answer. The devil didn’t flinch despite the goosebumps on his skin. Instead, he smiled and embraced his destiny. He reminded himself that this is the very reason why he agreed to meet the angel in an open space in the first place.
He wanted to minimize whatever damage would occur. Whatever damage Naomi’s answer would do to the both of them.
“I told you, my decision will not be negotiable. Naomi wanted to live and I will stand by to honor her life.” He declared, crossing his arms over his chest in time with the angel’s growling. Loud thunder strikes followed Liberty’s statement, a testament of his promise.
“You cannot possibly make it to the gates of heaven! Your plan is impossible!”
