"I don't know the lines..." Felix made up an excuse, though he not only knew all the lines by now but everyone else in the studio did as well. Since the same scenes were being replayed hundreds of times it was impossible not to remember the lines. But it truly didn't come down to just saying the lines, if that was good enough then Giovanni would have did his job already.
