Standing at Alex's side, I watched with an unwavering gaze as the Sun Shade vampires made their entrance onto our territory. My attention, however, was irresistibly drawn to a particular figure among them, a man who exuded an aura of authority and pride. His piercing eyes met mine with a look that hinted at recognition, leaving me with no doubt that this man was, indeed, my father.
It was impossible not to acknowledge that he possessed a striking handsomeness and an air of sophistication. There might have been a shared genetic inheritance between us that contributed to my own physical attributes, but this did little to mitigate the sense of danger that emanated from him.
