When the Royal family announced the wedding between Shen Qi and Mu Xuan, a controversy started about them being siblings. But then the Royal family cleared the misunderstanding up about the two being siblings.

Revealing the long hidden truth to everyone, Shen Qi was proclaimed as the daughter of the previous Emperor before their father Emperor who upon the kindness of his heart adopted Shen Qi as his own daughter and then the rumors died down and the people instead celebrated for the marriage of their Prince and Princess.

But there was one individual who is not happy about this, well, a forgotten individual in this story actually, the female lead. She still remember the humiliation that she received from those two couples and decided to have her revenge against them.

Feng An was scheming up a plan to ruin Shen Qi and put a green hat on top of Mu Xuan. Her plan was exactly the same as her plan in the story, she was going to frame Shen Qi up for adultery and make the Third Prince wear a green hat.

Her plan to ruin both of her enemies was long ago completed and everything was already set in motion. All she needed to do is to let Shen Qi fall for her plans, she was about to commence her plan on the day of the celebration where Shen Qi and Mu Xuan planned to announce their marriage to the world.

But who is Shen Qi? She is just the world hopping woman who controls and plot behind the story. You thought that she was doing nothing because there is almost no face slapping and encountering the FL right? Then I tell you that you are wrong!

Even before the FL and Shen Qi met, her plan was already set on motion. Do you think her being on the garden that night when she met the ML and FL was pure incident? Of course not, she had planned for all of those to happen and even the tripping event was all planned by her. She knew from the plot that the FL and ML would appear there on those hours, she already began her scheme for the fall of the FL. Mu Xuan was just an extra factor that she did not expect to appear but still everything ended just the way she expected, the FL's anger and humiliation.

Shen Qi knew just how prideful and arrogant the FL is so being humiliated by her just like that would make her mind churn and her rationality gone.

That's why when she went out of the castle for the first time, she made sure that she will encounter the FL on the streets by bringing Li Fengxian with her. She knew that “wherever the ML goes the Fl follows and vice versa”. Shen Qi also kept on getting on her nerves so she will make more mistakes.

Just that little encounter ruined the FL’s face and reputation to the public, Shen Qi's plan was about to bear fruit.

When the FL's plan was on the move, instead of Shen Qi being caught in the act it was instead Feng An caught in the act with an unknown man on the bed as the two make out.

The General was pretty livid and cut the man up who was riding his fiance into two pieces! He looked at Feng An with eyes filled with disappointment and declared their engagement annulled on the spot before he left her there humiliated and crying as people pointed fingers at her.

Feng An shouted herself hoarse begging for the General to come back but the General never looked back, not even once.

Being humiliated like that, she turned her eyes on Shen Qi who was looking at her with amusement. She knew that all of her problems were caused by her, her sanity snapped and tried to attack Shen Qi but then she was kicked to the floor by Mu Xuan, disgust visible in his eyes.

So that's how the FL failed, after the event that night the FL unknowingly went missing and nobody cared for her not even her family nor General Li who had already found another new love.

But with the FL gone, it seemed like a hole of sadness was left in the ML’s heart. He does not know why he was feeling like this even though he found a new love. Is it because of the leads Fate to be together or is it because until the moment he died he can’t still forget that lady’s beautiful smile in his heart and mind.

Shen Qi and Mu Xuan lived a very happy and blissful life, they stayed away from any court matters and instead toured around the world. They only stop when their old bones could no longer support them and they choose to live by the countryside away from the bustling Kingdom, they enjoyed their peaceful life there together.

"Mu Xuan, you jerk. I told you that we will die together but why are you going first without me." Shen Qi who's hair had already turned white beat Mu Xuan's chest softly afraid that she might instead become the cause for his early death!

Mu Xuan lifted his trembling hands to gently wipe the tears of the woman that he love the most, he gently wipe her tears away like he always did. "Thank you for loving me, I love you my Shen'er."

"I love you too, Mu Xuan." Shen Qi's tears keep on falling like rain, as sadness envelope her heart.

"Cici, I will wait for you in my next life..." Mu Xuan closed his eyes and his hands went limp, a sign that he was really dead.

"Mu Xuan, just wait for me I will come see you soon." Shen Qi said as she lied down beside Mu Xuan and then hugging him, she kissed him for the last time and closed her eyes, Shen Qi at that moment breath her last breath.

When their brothers and nephews came, they were already too late. When they opened the door that leads them to Mu Xuan and Shen Qi's room, what they saw made them gasp for air as their eyes reddened and tears started to fall down their faces.

When the whole Kingdom knew of their kind Prince’s and Princess’ death, they mourned for them for at least 3 years and more to show their endless gratitude to the loving couple. If not for them then this Kingdom would have long been already invaded and fallen to ruins, if not for them then this Kingdom would have not risen to such heights and helped many citizens of their Kingdom.

The Royal family knew how much the couple love each other that not even once did Mu Xuan thought of taking another consort or even looking at other women besides their Princess, not even when they got old, not even once did his eyes falter. He only keep on looking at Shen Qi like he always did just like the first time that he saw her. For him, she was the most beautiful woman in his eyes and nothing could change that.

The two were then buried together side by side, never to be apart just as they promised.

The two's love story became a Legend among Legends and were continued to be passed on to later generations about the story of true love between two lovers. When others wanted to wish to be together forever, they would stand under the tree that Shen Qi personally grew in front of their house and declare their promise to each other loud and clear and mostly it must come from the heart.
