Leaving Home

Two days later.

Today is the day that I leave my home for good. It was hard to pack but thankfully I had help, my mother and brother did all they could to make it as smooth and painless as possible. My mother only cried about twenty times the first day and about ten the second. I waited till I was alone to shed my tears. I didn’t want to go, I didn’t want to leave them saying goodbye is hard. My father wanted Asher to go with us to make sure I would be ok. He said he will stay a week to help me get settled before he has to come back and get ready to take over as alpha. I hope I get to see him again after this. Even though Parker's pack is our sister pack we don’t see them very often but now with Parker and I being mated it will make our packs stronger. There will be a wedding ceremony  in two months and when that happens we will be expected to have completed the mating process. 

The drive is only four hours but it feels like time is going so slow. Parker and I haven’t spoken since the day I tried and failed to run away. Asher thankfully kept that to himself as did Parker. I know he isn’t a bad person and I should try to get to know him better but I’m not ready yet. I’m lost in my own thoughts and don’t hear Parker and Asher telling me that we're here.  I felt a hand on mine and looked up into  stunning golden brown eyes. I was mesmerized again. I couldn’t stop myself, I could smell his scent, warm honey and pine. My hand was tingling from our touch. I didn’t even notice that I had gotten out of the car. I couldn’t look away and it seemed he couldn’t either.

Parker

She was quite the entire ride and I’m starting to worry that she will never feel the same way about me as I feel about her. I’ve been in love since the moment we first met as kids. She was a beauty then and even more so now. I hope she comes to love me and her new pack. They are so very excited to meet their future Luna.  My brothers and sister can’t wait for our arrival. I've been getting text after text asking if we’re close yet. After passing the pack border I could hear the howls and joyous voices welcoming me back. One thing I love and hate is the mind link we all share. Sure I could block them out but they’re just so excited to see her for the first time. When we finally pulled up to house Asher and I got out to greet everyone but Amelia stayed in the car. I reached in to get her attention and realized she was lost in her own world. I gently placed my hand in hers and immediately the tingles started. Her sweet scent filled my nose and I will never get over how good it smells. Lavender and cedar wood are now the only thing I wish to smell.

She slowly lifted her gaze to mine and I gently pulled her from the car. We stayed like that for a while just gazing into each other's eyes. She let me pull her close to me and I pray that she’ll let me hold her like this forever. I could never thank the Moon Goddess enough for choosing her as my mate.  It was only when my Parents came over to us that the moment was broken she quickly looked away from me. My father introduced himself and my mother. “I am Alpha Gabriel and this is Luna Sophia we are so pleased to have you hear with us my dear Amelia” He then went on to introduce my siblings to her and Asher. “This Marcus, Anarose and Oliver. They will be stuck to you like glue for a few days, they’ve been very excited to meet you, but after that they will mostly leave you alone.” 

After all the introductions were made we finally made our way into the house. My mother offered to give Amelia a tour and show her where her new room would be. After they left to go on their tour I made my way to my dad's office. I knocked and waited for a response, “come in,” Gabriel said. “How was the ride Parker?” he asked. “It was fine, a little quiet.” I said “You will need to give her some time. Everything is new and will take a little adjusting. She will come around. Your mother was the same. She has a wild spirit and you should not try to tame her.” He said with a serious look “I understand, I’ll be patient. Thank you.” I said and got up to leave. 

As I reached the door I looked back and he was already back to working on whatever it was before I came so I  left. I can always get advice another time. I went looking for my mom and Amelia. It had only been twenty minutes but I needed to see her. She was in the backyard looking at the three trouble makers playing. She was smiling at them as they showed her everything in the yard. She was so breathtakingly beautiful and I wanted nothing more than to hug her tightly and tell her it would be ok. 

Amelia

Once we made our way into the house Luna Sophia offered to show me around first she took me to my room. It was nice, it had a queen size bed and a small seating area near the fireplace. The room was done in soft yellows, it was perfect. I had my own bathroom with a stand up shower and a big tub good for soaking. I was definitely going to use that later. Once we were done with the tour inside it was time to go outside. Luna Sophia said they had a nice garden she wanted to show me but before she could the three musketeers, as Sophia affectionately called them, showed up. They begged their mother to let them show me everything outside seeing as how she got to do the inside tour. She agreed only if I was ok with it. “Sure I would love for you to give me a tour.” I said. Their little faces are smiling up at me. “Be on your best behavior” she scolded them and looked at me “They are a handful but I love them dearly” she said as she walked away.

Once outside it was complete chaos, Marcus was ten he had the same color eyes as Parker but he was mischievous you could see it written all over his face. Anarose was a sweet eight year old, her hazel eyes full of curiosity and Oliver such a cute little thing for six years old, he smiled the biggest smile he could at me. Currently, they are showing me all the cool tricks they can do. Which is a lot according to Marcus, it mostly just them running around and occasionally jumping. I’m so lost in what they are doing that I didn’t notice Parker come up behind. “They will have you out here all day if you let them,” he whispered in my ear. It sent shivers down my spine, his hot breath tickling my baby hairs and giving me goosebumps. A slight whimper escapes my mouth and I feel his hands on mine, he turns me to face him and I’m hit full force with his delicious scent. My body wants him, needs him but I won’t give in. He leans in and whispers in my ear “ I want to take you somewhere, will you go with me?” he asks with a look in his eyes that I won’t be able to deny much longer. I nod my head. He takes me towards the edge of the trees.
