Chapter 13

Berta's POV

    That was some bullshit that I had to go through in the bathroom with those two bastards.  Thank god Penny showed up when she did.  Not gonna lie, besides all the shock that happened, she looked kinda attractive.  I mean, I am pansexual so it isn't too surprising.  But once again, unavailable.    

    As we make our way through the crowd, I make eye contact with Skylar, who looks relieved.  She taps Mads and points her head my way.  They both get up from their seats and make their way over.  We almost fell on the floor by how fast the impact was when they came at me.  I wasn't even gone for that long, but they act like they haven't seen me in years.  The twins are lucky I love them.  Sky was the first to pull back, only to punch me in the arm.    

    "What the f**k took you so long?  We thought that you were either taking the biggest s**t ever or hooking up in the bathroom.  But then I remembered it was you, so neither of that would happen.  So, you good now or do I gotta kick some ass," Sky says jokingly, but I know there's a bit of seriousness in her words.

    "She's okay.  Just had to deal with some asshole in the bathroom who made her upset.  Good thing I showed up tp kick some ass and save my little sweetheart," Penny says.  She then smiles at me while she tucks a bit of my hair behind my ear.  I turn towards the bar to hide my blush, but of course Jamie was staring at me from afar.  He waves at me and sends a wink my way.  Damn it.

    "Let's go back to the bar.  I need a drink after what I went through.  I'll let you know more when we get there and when I finish my drink," I tell them as I grab both the twins' hands and drag them to the drink section.  Jamie was making his way to us, but Richie beat him to it and ran to me for a hug.  Jamie stomped his foot and left to go help a customer.

    "Try again another time pretty boy.  I knew her way before you did," screamed Richie.    

    "Don't worry about it.  I'll get my chance to know her, in more ways than just words.  The little lady can't resist my charms forever," Jamie yelled back before going back to work.

    "He won't be the only one sweetheart," Penny whispered into my ear.  I don't even know how she got so close with all the people around us.  She gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, grabbed a server tray, and disappeared into the crowd.  Guess that means that she works her too, with her boyfriend.  Good to know and it makes sense.  One question answered, millions of s**t still to wonder about.  Richie snaps his fingers in my face, getting me out of my head space.

    "I can see now what the twins were talking about.  You, Jamie, and Pen are acting really weird, almost like something is about to happen.  Better not happen in my bar tho.  I don't run that kind of business here," Richie tells me.  Was that really what it looks like to everyone else?  "Yes it does because you are speaking your thought out loud for us to hear."  Oh come on.

    "Nothing is going on between... whatever you see.  I just met them like an hour ago or less, so let's drop it."  I gave Richie a friendly push away from me and grabbed the shot that Mads had ready for me in her hand.  How the hell am I supposed to know why both Penny and Jamie are acting the way they are to me.  It feels like I am being hit on, but maybe they are just teasing.  For now, I am gonna try to ignore them both concerning that problem.  The night was about having fun and helping to mess with Jenny, not my love life.  Breathing out, I finally take the shot.  Man, that shot was nasty af.

    "Alright.  To a summary, I went pee and Jenny followed me, wanting to talk to me.  After that talk, the ex wanted to talk too.  The bastard kissed me and tried to get back together with me.  Penny showed up and saved the day.  That's it for the most part."  I took another shot before I continued.  "Now, let's talk about the main reason why we came to the bar.  What exactly is the 'Stage 2' you guys were talking about in the car."

Narrator POV

    The twins smirked at each other before looking at Berta.  Anyone who is looking can sense the trouble that the twins may cause.    

    "Our 1st stage was calling the cops and ruining her party.  Was not planning for our next step to be at a bar, but it's a temporary setback," Mads says as she looks around.  Her eyes smirked when she finds what she was looking for.  "Queen b***h and her followers are seen stinking up the place near the stage".  Sky then moves closer to Berta to continue talking for Mads.    

    "Getting them kicked out would be too easy and simple.  They deserve more than that, especially since the new discovery of the bullshit in the bathroom".

    "Ladies," Richie interrupted.  "I don't think it's really necessary to get revenge.  However, since I mentally adopted Birdy the first time I saw her, it's a different story.  If you need help, let me know."  He then walked away from the girls, not knowing he is going to regret those words later.    

    "Now that we have extra help from our new friend, it will make everything that much funnier.  We just need one more group of people.  Gotta go make a quick call," And with that, Sky gives Berta a smile before disappearing from sight into the crowd.    

    Well s**t, Berta thought. I might as well get more shots.  Whatever happens, I don't wanna remember by Monday morning. 

    At the other side of the place, Jenny and her crew were drinking.  Jenny couldn't help but continue to look towards Berta and the twins, especially Berta.

Jenny's POV

    Look at that b***h, Jenny thought to herself.  She's like a f*****g dog, following me wherever I go.  After what happened in the past, she deserves the hate I gift to her.  I even f****d up her relationship and now have her man in the palm of my hand.  That little attitude of hers in the bathroom was cute and all, but not intimidating.  I am just going to do my thing with these people I'm with and get wasted.  They better not try to ruin my plans again or s**t will hit the fan.  I got out of my thoughts and raised my glass up to my 'crew'.  "Let's get f****d up!," everyone cheered at my words and drunk up.  Let this night f**k me up too.
