Chapter 2

"I swear.  The only time you guys agree on something is because you both are about to say something stupid."  I pushed myself off the bed and walks towards the door.  "I'll be back with some drinks.  Touch something that you didn’t come here with and I will kick you both out.  I mean it this time Sky."  I gave her the death stare as Skylar slowly puts her laptop back down.       As I walked down the hallway toward the kitchen, smalls creaks in the floor board from behind startled me.  When I turned around, I came face to face to with a clown mask and jumps.      "I got you, didn't I Bird?", says the creature.        "Not really Ty". Okay, he did get me, but he doesn't need to know that.  Ty takes off his mask.  "Damn, your second mask is much scarier.  Oh wait, it's just your face".  I dropped my hand from my heart as I continued to walking.      "You're not funny," shouts Ty as he starts to walk back to his room.  If only they could see each other smirking at how ridiculous the other was.      Ty was my little mini clone.  I love him to death, but I love bugging the crap out of him the most.                    I finally made my way to the kitchen.  If it wasn’t for the street lights and the window blinds being slightly open, the house would be completely dark.  God, did I hate the dark. But, no one needed to know that.  As I open the fridge, I grab two beers and a 7-Up for herself, since I don't drink.      Right before I go back to my room, I double check the note that my parents left for m and Ty when they got home from school.  It read:      Berta and Ty,      Your father and I are going to be gone for the whole week.  We're attending a convention for my work and it may be hectic, like last years.  Since you both are older now, we are going to leave you by yourselves.  While we're gone, Berta, you're in charge. Meaning, you need to make sure that the house is always clean and that Ty doesn’t make a mess. And Ty, make sure you feed your pet because we are not getting you another one.  We love you both and we'll see you next Sunday.      Love you always,      Mom and Dad      Ps. Madison and Skyler, I know you guys are going to read this note too. Can you guys try not to make too much of a mess this time.  The fire department already has us on speed dial.      I laugh as I read the last part. Sky and Mads have been over her house so much that my mom knew that:       1) they are definitely gonna be here, especially when the house would be parent free and       2) they are more than likely to cause trouble, like always.      Flashing lights through the window snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked out the window and stared to the house across the street.  From across the street, another house was hopping to the beat that rang through the windows.        It was like the other neighbors around the neighborhood were all out taken by aliens and the house across was celebrating their disappearance, cuz nobody minds the noise.        "Get in bitches", I heard the demon command.  If a demon had crawled out of hell and decided to take over as a preppy teenager, then that is exactly how Jenny Flakes was.      Jenny Flakes is basically every mean girl from every movie made wrapped up into one.  I didn't have any reason to not like her.  The problem was that Jenny found anyway to send hate towards her.  It was like as if Voldemort and Regina George had a daughter that was raised by the devil.        I shrugged my shoulder and walked back to my room.  When I opened my door, Skylar and Madison jumping on my bed as if they were back in middle school.  I could stop them, but it was better to record them on my phone, just in case for emergency purposes.        Madison turned around seeing me recording on my phone when she stopped singing.  Skylar looked at her twin and saw me as well.      "You better not be recording us, B," Madison's voice snapped me back to my current act. I shocked my head as I stopped recording.      "I hope at least you got my good side," replied Skylar.  I rolled my eyes towards her.  "Wait, all my sides are my good side.  Now, give me my beer before Ty sniffs us out".  Skylar grabs the beers and hands one to her sister.      "Funny that you mention my fam.  My parents are gone and my mom said that you two better behave because apparently, the fire department loves stopping by," I jumped into my chair and turn myself towards the twins.      "Man, I love John and Liz," Madison almost whispers.  She shakes her head before the other girls could ask her about what she said.  "Anyways, it's not our faults that the firefighters are just using excuses to come see us.  I mean, me and Sky are almost this close to getting their actually numbers".      "Mads, you are forgetting that you and Sky both have boyfriends that would kick the crap out those guys in a heartbeat".      "Very true," agreed Skylar.  "Phillip and Lukas are the most possessive guys out there.  Why do they have to be so hot with amazing lips?  Don't even get me started on Phillip's..."      "TMI Sky.  Please do not finish that sentence.  I would rather not think of what you and Phillip do".      "I agree with Berta here Sky".      "Really Mads.  As if you and Lukas are so innocent.  I remember hearing you too last night before he snuck out the window.  I could do into details about the noises you....," Before Sky could finish teasing Madison, Madison grabs a pillow and smacks Sky in the head with it.      "Can you two not talk about s*x for one minute.  I do not need to know any of it".  I turn back to my desk while trying to avoid the new silence in the room.      Behind me, the twins look at each other before nodding to each other.  Madison is the first to leave the bed and walks towards me.  Skylar follows behind and I feel her rubbing my back before speaking up.      "Sorry for bringing it up, B," Sky spoke.  "Don't think about that asshole that shall not be named and let's watch a movie instead".  Skylar and Madison each grab my arms and drag me to the bed.  "I say we watch John Tucker Must Die or Struck by Lightning".      "Struck by Lightning," all of them agreed at the same time.  Madison turns on the tv and puts the movie on before crawling on the bed.      The image that popped in my head before didn't go away, but I'll let the movie distract me for a while.
