“Come along, Miss Delacroix.” Sam hustles down the hallway to a nearby door. Yanking it open, she moves to the bed. “Mr. Delacroix? We have to go.” Mumbles come from the bed as Charles adjusts to his surroundings.   “Miss, could you grab the wheelchair over there?” Sam points to the wall.   Della pushes the chair to the edge of the bed. Sitting up is a very groggy-looking Charles Delacroix. He looks at Dela and begins to laugh. “Now I imagine my daughter! I must be close to death!”   Della looks to Sam. Sam helps him up. “He is on some medication, miss. It causes some hallucinations.”   Della swallows the hurt of not being recognized.
