Arian finally agreed to teach me how to use a g*n. We went to a secluded area near the huts, somewhere where the gunshots wouldn't startle the kids. Arian warned me if I exerted myself too much, we were leaving and never returning. Twenty minutes in, he relaxed a bit as I got more comfortable with the g*n.
“I don’t think I can kill a person,” I wondered randomly.
“All you need to learn is how to handle a g*n,” he replied.
“A person’s life is so valuable, enemy or ally. How can killing a person come to someone so easily? How can tormenting a person be acceptable?”
