“Dad, are you okay?” Andre asked Kol who looked scared from the movie he had seen.
“I’m…” Kol swallowed, “Perfectly okay.”
“Are you sure, Dad?” Andre questioned suspiciously, before frowning, “Or was it the movie?”
Kol was caught off-guard. Had his son noticed how unsettled he had been during the movie? “What do you mean? It was just a horror movie.”
“But you kept jumping in your seat the entire time, and you kept your eyes closed throughout the entire movie.” Andre complained with a deep frown etched on his face, “I wish Grandma had come with me. Who will I talk to about the movie now?”
“Okay, I’m sorry.” Kol said, and then his eyes caught a bagel sign a few meters away from them, “Okay, just seat here, okay? Don’t go anywhere… I have a surprise for you.”
