Rain has been going crazy to meet Ares. She’s been begging me for days to ask Damon to go for a run so they can see each other.
“I want to meet my mate Arora!” She yells
“Ok Rain, ok.” I laugh “I will ask Damon if he wants to go for a run after dinner”
“Thank you, I bet Ares is as gorgeous as Damon is” she sighs
“I’m sure he is” I laugh, shaking my head at her
I head down to Damon’s office, pausing in front of the door before knocking. I get butterflies every time I’m near him. I open the door and Damon is sitting in his chair on the phone. He motions for me to come in and sit down as he finishes his phone call.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt, I can come back” I say quietly
“Your presence is never an interruption” he replies with a warm smile
