Chapter 28 Daylight filtered through the bamboo window shade. Zoe lay half-awake, going through the events of the previous day, marvelling at what they meant. It was no dream, Quinn had declared his feelings. He loved her. That sweet thought scrubbed the pain from her aching limbs. The clock radio turned itself on, offering the local forecast. ‘A low off the coast will progress to a tropical storm by tomorrow.’ The wind moaned on cue and the little shack creaked alarmingly.
