Chapter 24 Today was the seniors’ cricket grand final. Tingo against Wingham – the first time the local team had ever made it through. Abbey helped pack the sandwiches and cold chook in the esky, along with the coleslaw they’d made the night before. Kim added butter and a loaf of sourdough from the freezer. It would defrost by lunchtime. A packet of Chocolate Royals. Some bananas, oranges and a sorry-looking bunch of grapes that Abbey had been picking at. A second esky held the drinks and ice.
