Epilogue Three weeks later… “Alex, put me down.” Payton chuckled as Alex carried her through the doorway to his apartment. “I healed up over a week ago.” It still pulled a little but it was more of a twinge than actual pain. “I was carrying you over the threshold.” Alex stated before setting her on her feet but didn’t release her. She couldn’t resist leaning forward and kissing him. The past few weeks had been like living in a dream.
