CHAPTER FIFTEEN Raia’s heart pounded so hard that she was sure Akita could hear it. The other woman had wrapped an arm around her neck and held a sharp blade to her throat. Raia kept her arms down in front and her eyes glued to the rear of the freighter. “Behr,” she whispered. Akita’s grip tightened, and Raia winced when the blade’s sharp edge sliced a thin line along her skin. The woman eased the pressure but still kept the blade uncomfortably close. She stumbled when Akita nudged her forward. Behr walked down the ramp and stopped at the end. He gazed at Raia, and the raw emotion she saw in his eyes took her breath away.
