EPILOGUE
Spardonian Prison:

Reynar turned away from the window where he was watching the reconstruction of the prison. The computer console chimed, alerting him to an incoming message. He walked over to the console and frowned when he noticed it was a video and not a live connection. He tapped to download the message.
On viewing the video, he pursed his lips into a firm line at the sight of two blackened, broken tusks on the screen before Akita’s face filled the monitor. His hands fisted at the screen. He curled his fingers into a fist on witnessing the self-satisfied smirk on her face. She stared back at him with her glowing red eyes that sent a shiver down his spine.
“As you can see, brother, you have failed once again,” she said in a voice dripping with acid
