Forever and Always

The first day we met,

We were the ones who promised eachother.

The promise we made was,

"I will be your forever and always".

We were both just young hearts,

Not knowing what we were in for.

Listening to each other's favourite songs,

Making one of them "our song".

Maybe in a parallel universe,

We would have kept this promise.

Maybe in a parallel universe,

We did end up being eachother's forever and always.

We live in different corners of the world,

Far from eachother.

Together but not together,

At the same time.

You believed you were tough to love,

But oh how I was in shock to listen to you say that.

You were the person whom I thought,

Would be my beginning, my middle and my end.

Maybe in a parallel universe,

We would have kept this promise.

Maybe in a parallel universe,

We did end up being eachother's forever and always.

We really hoped that we don't become,

Strangers whose laugh we could recognise anywhere.

I really hoped that we ended together,

And didn't have to live far away.

Maybe in a parallel universe,
