The room was dark when Caius opened his eyes. His head was pounding, like a bad dream lingering even though he was already awake. Slowly, he sat up, feeling the heaviness in his body. He realized he wasn’t wearing a shirt—his soft and pale bare chest exposed to the cold air from the AC.
He looked around. The place felt unfamiliar as he comb his hair to relieve the diziness .
Wait, A hotel?
He couldn’t remember how he got there. The last thing he recalled was the party… the two girls… the laughter… then nothing. It all blank.
His eyes drifted to the bedside table. His phone was standing upright, positioned perfectly—almost like it was watching him.
His chest tightened as if it skip a beat for a second.
He reached for his phone and turned on the screen. His brows furrowed. A new message from an unknown number.
“Did you have fun last night?”
His heartbeat quickened. He swallowed hard. A prank? Who was this? And how did they know where he was?
He looked around again, hoping to find a clue about what happened. But there was nothing. Just silence and the cold atmosphere of the room.
He took a deep breath and checked his phone again. Just seconds later, it vibrated once more. And this time he felt his soul leaving his body as he read those lines.
“Don’t worry… I know your secret.”
