Ethan was eerily silent on the way home.
I followed him closely, my mind still in chaos. The encounter replayed in my head — over and over. It was pure luck that I reacted so quickly. The moment I saw Ethan standing outside the burger joint, I waved a quick goodbye to Ivy and Elias and grabbed Ethan’s hand without a second thought.
