Chapter Ten

Falak closed the file then looked up at the watch. It was 02:00 in afternoon and she had been working since morning. She tiredly sighed

'I should get coffee at least.' Falak said to herself then stood up and start walking. She opened the door and walked out then turned back and closed the door. She turned back over to walk when she dumped with the person who was coming from other side.

'I am so sorry.' Falak said and looked up whereas Mehek smiled to her and she glared at her.

'O Hello Falak.' Mehek said smiling and Falak stayed quite still glaring at her.

'What are you doing here?' Falak asked with blank face.

'What do you think? Off course came to meet your beloved husband.' Mehak replied smiling

'Shut up.' Falak screamed

'So jealous....but you are one who always linked us together.' Mehak said and Falak kept glaring at her.

'Okay, Sorry. I was only teasing you but I think we are not close enough.' Mehak said sincerely and Falak just stared at her. Then Falak walked passed and was about to walk when she speak up.

'Falak.' Mehak called out to her and Falak stopped then looked back at her.

'Falak, do you actually think me and Zahi are having affair?' Mehak asked

'You are here to meet him when in morning he said he don't want to meet anyone all day because he will be busy but he still meet you. What else proved you need.' Falak said bitterly and Mehak looked at her then smiled then walked while stopped right in front of her.

'Mrs Falak, so proudly you standing in front of me is just because of Zahi. You have no idea how Zahi is protecting you. You can't even in your million years can imagine what he is doing for you. There are so many tears and sorrows would have be in your fate if Zahi would not be here because he is standing between you and sorrows. He have all the tears so you could stayed happy.' Mehak said and Falak was standing listening to her

'But I think now is time you find out the truth. Why should only he burn in the fire alone.' Mehak added

'What do you mean?' Falak asked confused and she smiled

'Well that's for you to find out.' Mehak said and she was looking at her still confused. Mehak turned over and was about to walk out when she turned back over and looked at her

'Just to give your clue, 'your miscarriages.' Mehak said and walked off leaving her even more confused and surprised.

'What the hell she is talking about?' Falak whisper to herself then took out her Phone and call her family doctor.After fews bells she picked up the phone.

'Salam.' Mrs Suilman (her doctor) said

'Wasalam, it's me Falak.' Falak said

'Yeah I know, whats wrong?' Mrs Suliman asked

'Nothing wrong, I just want to meet up with you.' Falak said

'Yeah sure, when you will be free?' Mrs Suliman asked

'Today, at night.' Falak asked

'Yeah sure.' Mrs Suliman said and Falak smiled while they they say their goodbye and cut off the phone.

Falak got hold of her bag and walked out when Zahi walked and start walking with her. He stopped in front of his car and opened the door to sat down while she looked up at him.

'Zahi.' Falak called out to him and he looked back at her.

'Yes.' Zahi said and she nervously looked around.

'I need to go somewhere, you go home and I will be back soon.' Falak lied and he confused looked at her

'At this time, where?' Zahi asked

'Yeah, it's urgent. You just go.' Falak said and quickly turned and start walking

'I will at least drop you off.' Zahi asked from

behind while she stopped and looked at him

'No I am fine. I will take cab.' Falak said and without listening to him walked off. He confused stared at her back until she disappeared

'It's alright Zahi. Don't be tense. She is not a small kid.' Zahi said to himself then smiled and sat back in the car then driver away whereas she sat down in the cab and tell the driver to dropped her off to the Mrs Suliman's clinic. After about half an hour Cab stopped in front of clinic.

'Please you wait here I will be back soon.' Falak said to cab man who nodded his head in yes while she stepped out. She sighed then walked in and towards Mrs Suliman's office. She stopped in front of door then took in deep breath, she don't but she was feeling scared. Then she softly knocked on the door and Mrs Suliman's voice came from inside. She slowly opened the door and entered

'Welcome, I was waiting for you.' Mrs Suliman welcomed her and Falak nodded her head while smiling. She walked and sat down on the seat.

'After such a long time we are meeting.' Mrs Suliman said and Falak just smiled

'Okay, how may I help you?' Mrs Suliman asked and Falak looked at her then nervously sighed and speak up.

'I want to know Is something happen when I had my miscarriages which I should be know about it.' Falak asked and Mrs Suliman face turned pale in a second while Falak clearly got it that there was something up.

'W..what do you mean?' Mrs Suliman shutter

'I know something happen after my second miscarriage, what is it?' Falak asked while looking at her and her heart was beating so fast.

'I need to go washroom, give me a second.' Mrs Suliman said and quickly walked out. She took out her phone and called on the number. After few bell the person on other line picked up the phone.

'Hello.' Person on other line said

'Hello Mr Zahi........' Mrs Suliman was saying when someone snatched the phone from her hand and turned it off. Mrs Suliman looked back at Falak.

'Please I need to know.' Falak pleaded and Mrs Suliman looked at her then sighed and nodded her head in yes.

'Come in...' Mrs Suliman said and they walked back in, Falak sat back down on the seat and Mrs Suliman came back with a file then opened the file and put it in front of her and herself sat down on doctor seat. Falak got hold of file and looked at it while Mrs Suilman start telling her. Falak was shocked and dumb folded was looking at her while tears were flowing from her eyes.

'I am Sorry Mrs Falak.' Mrs Suliman said after telling her whole thing.

'D..Did Zahi knew about it?' Falak asked shocked and Mrs Suliman nodded her head in yes

'Since when?' Falak asked

'From past two and half year. ' Mrs Suliman answered whereas Falak slowly stood up, got hold of file then walked out. She came out and still in shocked sat back down in the cab and driver started it. She told him the address and cleaned away her tears.

'Such a big betray.' Falak though while looking out of window when tears again start blurring in her eyes. She tried to controlled them but they again start flowing. She was crying when cab stopped in front of her house. She cleaned away her tears then pay her fare and came out. She slowly walked then put on her sunglasses and opened the door and entered. She walked into dinner table and they looked at her.

'Thank god Falak you are here. We were waiting for you. Now come on. I am really hungry.' Zahi said as soon she entered and she looked at him

'Yeah Mum, come on hurry up.' Haider added and she nodded her head in yes while everyone else start eating whereas she looked between Zahi and Haider who were smiling sitting together and tears again start blurring in her eyes.

'I had a lunch with me friend. I am not hungry.' Falak said and they looked at her while she was looking at Zahi but he can't see her eyes due to sunglasses

'I am sorry.' Falak added

'But.....' Zahi was about to say when she quickly walked passed him and went upstairs. She ran in her room then closed the door. She put away the file on bed then walked and slide down on the wall sitting on floor next to window. She didn't turned on the lights so there was darkness in the room. She put her knees up to her chest and put her head over it while crying. She knew Zahi will went to library straight after the dinner so he will not come till mid night and that was enough time for her to cry her heart out but she still need someone so she could leaned on it for a support and she don't know who could be that person. She thought while crying when suddenly the door slowly opened and someone entered. She looked up when lights got turned on and Haider was standing there looking at her. She quickly cleaned her eyes and looked away.

'Haider, turned off the lights.' She said while controlling her tears.

'Please Haider.' Falak pleaded and next second room light got turned off but he walked and turned on the side Lamp for little bit light. Haider closed the door then slowly walked and sat down next to her.

'Mum, What happen?' Why you are crying?' Haider asked and she closed her eyes still looking other way. Haider slowly moved and slides to other side then put her head up and make her looked at him.

'Tell me Mum, who is making you cry? I swear I will kill that person. Tell me Mum what happen?' Haider said and cleaned away her tears while she looked at him then quickly hugged him and start crying even more loudly.

'H..Haider, will you be my son for forever?' Falak asked while crying

'I am already your son. You are my mother for forever.' Haider replied and Falak closed her eyes while hugging him tightly and Haider hugged her back.

Flashback in the Mrs Suliman's clinic:

Mrs Suliman put file in front of her then herself walked and sat down on the seat.

'Mrs Falak when you had your second miscarriage, you lost a lot of blood and you was really weak. You condition was bad so to save you we have to do a hysterectmony surgery where we removed your womb.' Mrs Suliman said and Falak shocked looked at her while she felt her heart have stopped bleeding.

'You mean.....' Falak trailer and Mrs Suliman sighed

'Yes Mrs Falak, you can never become a mother again ever in your life.' Mrs Suliman said and Falak felt someone had took away ground under her feet while tears start coming from her eyes

'I was so stupid, I  even have stopped getting my weekly periods but you said it was alright. My immune system is weak that's way it was happening. So it was all lie.' Falak asked and Mrs Suliman nodded her head in yes.

'I am sorry Mrs Falak.' Mrs Suliman said

Falak was crying holding Haider who was parted just sitting.

'Mum, are you hungry?' Haider asked while slowly moved her away and she cleaned away her tears then shook away her head in no.

'I want to sleep but I don't think I will be able to.' Falak said and Haider nodded his head then stood up.

'Come on then I will make you go to sleep.' Haider said and she confused looked up at him. Haider smiled then got hold of her hand and make her stood up. Falak stood up and he make her walked towards the bed then make her lay down and himself sat on bed and put her head in his lap.

Haider start singing a lullaby for her while patting on her back whereas she closed her eyes and slept while crying and smiling at a same moment.
