Ninah? Mistress?

Nine POV

Sometimes, I wonder why things in my second life aren't going as it was in my first life. Mason hate touching people and also people touching him.

I thought I was going to be killed after I tried to give him a massage but, it seemed not. I turned out to be a useful tool to him.

But, why me?

Mason was really about to kiss me before Alex barged into his room. They spoke about something that almost made me stand up.

"Well, it's about Nine"

"What about him?"

"We caught some assassins sneaking into the palace last night. They confessed after some tortue, they were here to kill Nine" he said.

I can't believe boss wouldn't give up on me.

"Kill them and send a letter to the assassin house. Tell them I'm with Nine now. If they don't want to accept it, they should come for negotiation" he said. I opened my eyes immediately.

Alex bowed.

"I'll do so, Alpha" he was about to leave when I sprung up from the Alpha's bed.

"Wait!" I said. I jumped off his bed and lowered my head.

"Please, can you overlook it this once Alpha? They are commoners like me" I said.

"Did you hear what he just said? They were sent here to kill you. If I let them go, they'll come again to kill you" he said.

Of course, I'm just a commoner without any idea of who my real family is, there's no way the Alpha will listen to my demands. They were my colleagues and I grew up with them. I can't consider them my friends.

"As you wish, Alpha" I lowered my head.

Alex looked at me and left the room. Mason took off his robe in front of me.

"You should rest now. Join us for meeting in the afternoon. We'll be talking about the war, you that's in charge of the war preparation have to be present" he said.

I bowed silently and left the Alpha's chamber. I don't even have the opportunity to look at the people boss sent to kill me.

I walked towards my chambers as maids walked pass me.

"Do you even know how she looks like?"

"I think she's the Alpha's mistress since he's looking for her"

I heard what they said and froze. I swiftly turned to face the maids.

"Hello ladies"

They looked at me and blushed. I heard I was popular but, I didn't know I was this popular.

"Yes Nine. Do you need something?" She asked, blushing.

"Well, I heard about the Alpha's mistress. Who is she?" I asked.

"Oh, it's a girl named Ninah" she said.

I grabbed my hair and smirked.

"Did you say...Ninah?" I asked. They nodded. They moved closer like they wanted to gossip.

"I heard even sir Gomez was looking for her. She must be beautiful. She appears at the lake sometimes that's why sir Gomez goes there everyday" they whispered.

I blinked repeatedly.

"Oh, I see"

It's just a normal rumour that's going round. I smiled at them and left to my room.

Why would anyone think of that? Ninah being the Alpha's mistress?

What a joke.

I entered the room and closed the door behind. I hurriedly unwrapped the bandage on my body, bath and went to bed.

Immediately I laid on the bed, I dozed off.

After about some hours, I heard a loud bang on the door. I jumped up and started breathing heavily.

"Hey! Nine!" The person called and kept banging on the door.

"I'm awake! Who is it?"

"The Alpha has called you to the meeting hall. He said you should be there now!" He said. I gasped. I was supposed to be at the meeting room at noon. I don't know what the time is but I can tell I was late.

"I'll be there as soon as possible!" I yelled and started wearing my shirt. I didn't have the time to wrap stuff on my chest. Since the shirt is big on me anyway, my boobs isn't showing too well. I rushed out of the room, leaving my hair down.

The maids were still talking about Ninah. I hope I don't get caught soon.

I tied my hair up as I entered the meeting room.

"Huh?" Someone spoke.

I don't know who he was but, I've seen him in my past life. He's an Alpha. Whenever he saw me, he looks at me in a weird way.

"Do you know him, Alpha Dennis?" Mason asked. The man shook his head.

"No, he just looked quite familiar" he replied.

"Forgive me for coming late, Alpha" I bowed. He moved closer to me and rubbed off the white mark on my cheek. It must have been there when I slept off.

"You slept well, huh?" He asked.

The other Alphas opened their mouth in shock. They've never seen Mason show kindness to anyone before or even touch someone. That's why he doesn't have a personal maid.

"Is he one of your eradicator, Alpha Mason?" Another alpha asked.

"Yes and he's the one in charge of the war preparation. He has some good insight" Mason responded and went back to his seat.

"Let's hear it then"

I cleared my throat and started.

The war is probably going to start next week. The candidates have been protected, there's a huge wall around the city, protecting both the wealthy ones and the commoners. The war is likely to happen outside those wars, between the center and north.

The Northerners created a huge camp filled with their weapons and food, so we can use it against them this time to end the war quickly.

If one of us could act like a spy and have access to the tents where both the food and weapons are, he could blow it up and everything will be over quickly.

It's going to take some time and it'll be a risky move, so I'll be the one to do it. I explained all of this to them and they liked it. I smiled broadly and bowed.

"Who said you should take the risky step?" Mason asked.

Everyone paused and looked at him. What is he saying? Isn't he going to let me go with him?

"Alpha?" I called.

"The plan is excellent but, if you're the one preparing to be the spy, I won't accept it" he said.

I don't care about what he's saying, what I'm concerned about is why he's saying it in front of the other Alphas. They are starting to have weird idea about him interested in men.
