Mason's POV
After meeting with Alex and giving him so much work on purpose, I left the office. Was I getting jealous that he was leaving with Nine?
I strolled alone, leaving my eradicators behind. I didn't know where I was going but, I got lost in my own palace and ended up by the lake. Immediately I got there, I saw a beautiful figure in the water. She looked so calm as she bath in the cold water. I couldn't see her properly because the lake was surrounded by bushes and shadows.
According to the rumour, there's only one person that bath in the lake when it's late and that's the rumoured Ninah. To see that she even has beautiful skin... Now, I want to see her face.
"Ninah?" I called her name and entered the water. She moved away from me like she was scared but finally moved closer. Seeing her face with my night vision, I can tell she looks just like Nine. That's why Gomez mistook him for her that day.
She touched me and started asking me silly question. What would I do if she were to be Nine?
What would I do? Nine? I've always wanted to feel his lips. I've always touched them and look at him when he sleeps. If Nine were to be in front of me instead of Ninah, I want to kiss him.
Without any hesitation, I pushed my lips to hers. I can't believe I'm kissing the person I met on the first day. I don't care, as long as I see her as Nine.
She held me but I didn't hate it. I broke the kiss and started kissing her chest. Her boobs had red marks but, I'm starting to loose vision.
Why is her touch making me sleepy, just like Nine? Why are they so familiar?
She stopped me from going further with her. I was too stubborn. I know I won't see her again after tonight but, she strike the back of my neck and I finally lose consciousness.
I didn't know what happened till I opened my eyes in my room, the next morning. I slowly sat up and saw Alex and Nine talking by the door. They were talking so softly so they won't wake me up, but I could still hear them.
I touched my lips, remembering the kiss and also where she bit me when I refused to stop kissing her. She didn't even fear me at all. Others tremble at the sight of me, but she's different.
A smirk appeared on my face.
"Ninah! I'll find you, I swear" I mumbled.
My mumbling, Alex heard it and rushed to the bed with Nine.
"Alpha, are you alright?" He asked.
"Thank goodness, we found you by the river banks. What happened?" Nine asked.
I can't begin to explain that I kissed Ninah because I thought of him. I threw my legs off the bed.
"Nothing serious. I have work to do" I sprung up from the bed. Nine helped me with my shirt.
His touch made me remember Ninah. I don't know if I should be thinking about Ninah or Nine.
"Do you have a lost sister, Nine?" I suddenly asked.
He shook his head.
"I don't. I told you, I'm a commoner and also an orphan. I don't know who my parents are" he replied.
Ninah looked so much like him, what if they were twins separated from birth? I don't even have the opportunity to find her.
"Double the search on Ninah"
"I've ordered the men to kill her on sight, Alpha" Alex bowed. I shot my eyes wide open.
"Kill her? Don't do it! Bring her to me alive!" I yelled. Alex flinched and bowed. I haven't been in a bad moon for days now.
Nine stood, distance away from me. Was I that scary?
"I'll go to my office now. Commence your work immediately"
"Yes Alpha! They bowed and left.
.
.
When I got to my office, I saw my eradicators outside. They looked like they were panicking.
"What is going on?" I asked. They lowered their heads.
"Forgive us alpha. Since she's a guest, we couldn't stop her" one of them said.
There could be only one person who would defy me. She threw the door open and folded her hands.
"Oh, Alpha. Greetings" she jumped on me. I frowned in disgust and gently pushed her away. I can't afford to hurt Alpha Dennis precious daughter.
I stepped into the office and she followed me behind.
"Why are you here, Leah? Aren't you supposed to be at the south mansion?" I questioned. She moved closer to my desk.
"I heard rumours and I was concerned"
"If it's about Ninah being my mistress, leave now" I shook my head.
"Hmmm, are you sure it's real or not? That's not the rumour I heard, someone saw you with a woman at the lake last night, Alpha!" She said. I looked at her.
"So?" I asked, giving her a hard glare. She flinched and moved closer. She was having an annoyed look on her face since her plan didn't work.
"Have you forgotten? Whoever that woman was, you can't be with her. You are destined to be with me... Or one of the candidates"
"You can't be so sure. Anything can happen" I folded my hands.
"But..."
"Leah, I would have punished you hard for stepping into my office. But because of the respect I have for your father, I'll overlook it just this once. Never enter my office without punishment, Do. You. Understand?" I questioned, coldly. I saw her shivered like a lost puppy. She ran out of my office immediately.
I facepalmed myself and leaned on the chair. Next week, I'll be out for war. I haven't even checked the company in weeks because of so many workload. I would have sent Nine but, he hasn't been there before. Alex has work also.
"I should just call over my office assistant" I mumbled. I swiftly sent for her and she came within an hour.
Daisy, my seductive assistant. Despite her character, she's so hardworking. She's also a skilled fighter, I can't throw her away.
She's also one of the persons that aren't scared of me. Before I became the alpha, I worked like a workaholic at the company. I didn't care about the Alpha title, so me becoming the Alpha doesn't affect the company. They all saw me as mason the hard worker. It'll be super awkward for even my seniors at the company calling me Alpha and bowing their heads before me.
However, Daisy didn't accept the fact that I'm the alpha.
"Boss! I missed you so much!" She cried, trying hard not to touch me. She knew I hated physical touch.
"Daisy, stop behaving childish. Let's have a talk now" I said. I brought out a stick of cigarette. She brought out her lighter to help me but, I rejected her help. She has been trying to seduce me and get me on her bed but I've rejected her number of times.
I used my powers to lit the cigarette. I took a long draw and puffed out the smoke.
"Let's get to talking. There's a war soon.."
"I heard. It's too sad I can't follow you"
"Yeah, too bad. You'll have to handle the company now. Submit every report and details to you. I'll write a letter that I'm keeping you in charge. If anyone disobey my order, fire them immediately" I said to her and puffed out the smoke in my mouth.
"I'll do as you say boss" she said.
While I wrote the letter, she kept talking about the company until we were interrupted by Nine. He saw Daisy and almost turned to leave.
"Come in" I ordered. Nine entered the office and stole a glimpse at Daisy.
"Oh, he's so handsome" she said.
"Take your eyes off my eradicators, Daisy" I warned her.
"Can't you just give me this one? He's so..."
"Why are you here Nine?" I asked. Nine moved closer and placed some papers in front of me.
"We've concluded on the matter with the war ministers. The troops has driven into the palace already. Both captain and the minister are checking them in" he explained.
"Great..." I paused when I saw something in his hand. It's like a small container.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Oh, I used it on my bruise yesterday, thanks to Alex. You had a wound on your lips when we found you yesterday so, I wanted to..." He kept quiet when he realised the wound has healed. Of course, I'm the Alpha, small wounds like that means nothing to me.
But, why am I craving for him to touch me?
"The wound have healed. Thank goodness" he wanted to leave.
"It hasn't healed. Look at it" I pointed at my lips. I looked so pathetic acting like this in front of Daisy. She looked surprised to see that I bit my lips just to get Nine to touch me.
"Oh, I didn't see it" he moved closer, opened the container and gently touched my lips. Daisy shot her eyes wide open. I know what she was thinking. How and why did I let him touch me without complaining?
"I hope it'll heal fast" Nine said and moved away. His fingers were so soft as he rubbed the corner of my lips. I wanted him to do it again.
"Since you have a guest, I'll come back"
"No, she's about to leave" I said. I hurriedly folded the letter and pushed it to Daisy.
"Protect the company, it's in your hand now" I shot her a hard glare.
"Come now Nine. I must see the troops that just arrived, take me there" I got up.
"Sure, this way" he led me out. For some reason, I feel like Nine is keeping his distance away from me. Apart from that, he's been avoiding my gaze.
