Abused Mistake to Alphas Mate

*Olivia's POV*

-BEEP BEEP BEEP- That's what I hear as I lay there. My eyes feel swollen and my face hurts. I can hear muffled voices so I can't make out who is talking. I slowly started to panic as I heard a door open and footsteps start to approach me. I started to somewhat calm down when I heard a sweet voice start talking.

"Yes Alpha, I'm Dr Blake and Yes, Olivia will pull through. Her injuries were very bad, but fortunately we were able to stop the bleeding. She also had other injuries that didn't get enough time to heal, so we gave her antibiotics and put her on an IV. The IV will flush the wolfsbane that we found in her system. After the wolfsbane wears off there should be a speedy recovery from there! It should take about a day for it to wear off and about one more day for her wolf powers to kick in and heal her. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns, Alpha Thomas, Jackson." says Dr. Blake.

"Thank you Doctor", says Jackson.

"So this is Jamess' stepsister?" Says alpha Thomas

I felt someone sitting on my bed

"Yes dad, she's also my..." Jackson begins to say before he is cut off.

" We will talk about it later son, come on, we should leave her to get some rest, mind link James to come and watch over her, we need to talk", Alpha Thomas tells Jackson.

"Yes dad" Jackson says as they walk away, with a hint of sadness in his tone.

I lay there confused, what am I to him?, I already came to the conclusion that I'm safe and in a hospital, my stepbrother is here so that makes me feel better, im glad I'm going to finally get this wolfsbane out of my system, what the hell happened after I passed out... I'm pulled from my thoughts after I hear my door open again.

"Hey Olivia, it's me James, I don't know if you can hear me or not but, I want to apologize for everything, all the abuse you endured, and I'm sorry it took me so long to get you out of there, I'm such an as*hole for not getting you out sooner"

I wanted to comfort him, tell him it's all going to be okay, tell him I don't hate him, tell him all the pain I endured was because of our parents not him, we dont control our parents actions, hes always been there for me, sneaking me food, water, attempting to get our parents to stop.

*Jackson's POV*

It pained me to leave my mate after I just found her but at least I know James will keep her safe, even though it shluld be me.

"Dad I know the situation with my mate isn't ideal but-" I began to say before he cut me off

"Jackson, son, I understand, she's your mate and you can already feel the love you have for her, and you're right the situation isn't ideal but that doesn't make her any less your mate, I wanted to talk to you about the next steps we have to take to make you Alpha with your luna at your side" my dad says

"Dad I understand that we have to take the next steps but she's only 17 she hasn't fully developed her wolf yet, she doesn't even know I'm her mate, and with everything she's been through shouldn't we give her time to adjust before we throw all this luna talk on her face and just let her get to know the place before her 18th birthday, I don't want to overwhelm her, and I certainly wont allow the pack to know about this, so please keep this under control" I say firmly

"I understand son but as for the pack not knowing it's to late, when you brought her in you practically announced to everyone in the hospital she was your mate, and well news like that spreads like a wildfire" dad says

"Sh*t sh*t sh*t" I say irritated

"Calm down, we will announce to everyone that although the news is true, they need to keep all the Luna talk on the down low as we dont want to overwhelm her" my dad says

"That's a good idea and if anyone asks questions as to why she's in the hospital we will cover it up by saying she was in a car accident, I dont want to out her by saying she was abused all her life, that's not our story to tell it's hers." I say

"I agree I'll hold a pack meeting asap, in the meantime go check on her" my dad said, I nodded in agreement.

As I walked to the pack hospital I received many congratulations on finding my mate, I smile amd nod, i hear many whispers around me, and i hear the rumors, as im walking by a group of female omegas , I hear one female loudly say

"I was in the pack hospital when she arrived she was all bloody and bruised, I honestly think shes too weak to be our Luna, why should we have to respect someone as weak and pathetic as her"

"EXCUSE ME" I roared in an Alpha tone

"Alpha Jackson I didn't see you there" she says terrified

"DONT YOU EVER SPEAK OF YOUR LUNA LIKE THAT AGAIN OR YOULL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME, NOW GET OUT OF MY FACE" I boomed

"Yes alpha Jackson" she says as she runs off

"THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE HERE, YES I FOUND MY MATE BUT I EXPECT YOU ALL TO RESPECT HER BY KEEPING THIS LUNA TALK UNDER WRAPS, SHE WAS IN A TERRIBLE CAR ACCIDENT AND NEEDS TIME TO HEAL, IF I HEAR ANYONE SPEAK ILL OF HER WE WILL HAVE A PROBLEM, DO YOU UNDERSTAND" I yelled using my Alpha voice

"Yes Alpha" I hear the pack say

I nod and continue my way to the pack hospital
