Chapter 9They were about halfway up to the cabin when Leah remembered something she’d wanted to ask Amy about. “So, how come I only can get drunk at your pub?” Amy glanced over from the driver’s seat with a little smile. “Well, I think it’s because you liked having me carry you home, and you’re hoping I can do it again.” Leah coughed. “No! Well. I mean. Yes, though I wasn’t awake for that, it was cute, I wouldn’t mind…” Amy laughed. “It’s okay, it’s okay, sorry. I was teasing. Go on.” Leah stuck her tongue out. “Well, what I mean is that when I’ve been to the pub and had drinks, I can feel it, you know? I get a bit tipsy, even if I haven’t actually been trying to get drunk, but before…” Leah trailed off, and Amy made a soft encouraging noise. “Well. Back…before I knew about…all this.
