Chapter 9 - Kaitlyn

860 Words
When I return from the pool in the evening, Henry is still at my side. Since we both have nothing left, we have both decided that he still comes to me. "Mom, Dad, I'm back," I shout, arriving in the hall hoping my parents would hear me. "I'm here too," adds Henry, who is almost her second child to my parents. "Yes, sweetheart", the only answer I get from her then. I'm going upstairs to my room with Henry in tow. Once there, the blonde drops directly onto my bed. I stop in the doorway and look at him with raised eyebrows: "Immediately down from my bed." He looks at me challengingly: "No, it's way too cozy for that." I roll my eyes, then let myself fall beside him. "It was not so bad for the first day of school," he comments from scratch. I turn on my back and stare at the ceiling. "It was okay." He is right. To be honest, I had a harder time adjusting to the new school. Instead, I found myself relatively well to right and directly met a new person, who was immediately likable to me. The only really negative were the encounters with this guy. Seth! In my mind, I make his name sound extra stupid. Although I have to admit that he does not necessarily look bad. However, I do not like his character. You could even say that he is the typical asshole. Suddenly my smartphone next to me vibrates, as does Henry's. With raised eyebrows, we both reach to read the message. "Alana created a '10 class' group and added us to it," he reads the message we seem to have both received. I see him asking, "Who is Alana?" "The one with this funny guy herumgeleckt," he rolls annoyed with his eyes. I grimaced. "How do you know that?" He turns mobile phone display in my direction. This is a girl to see that I've seen several times today. And indeed it is the one who has snogged in front of the sports hall. I roll my eyes, "Sad that she really falls for this Seth, it would never happen to me!" "Seth? You know his name?", He slowly drops his cell phone and looks at me stunned: "Wait, how do you know his name?" "He chatted to me this afternoon," I admit. "Did he try to get in touch with you?", He asks in disbelief: "Because he has no chance, right?" He looks at me meaningfully: "Tell me he has no chance." I close my eyes. "You need to know me well enough to answer that question myself." How can he ask such a question at all? He does not think I'm dumb enough to do anything with a badboy like Seth. I just want to start a new topic, there is another message on my cell phone. So that Henry does not ask who she is, I distract him: "Is there one for you?" Unknown: Hey, honey. Did you miss me? "This is not a catalog from which you can just choose what you like best," he crossed his arms with a warning look in front of his chest. I give him an apologetic look: "That was not meant at all and you should know that too." He sighs, "Yes, I know." Out of the corner of my eye, I see that he still starts looking at the profiles of the other contacts in the group. However, I attribute this to his curiosity. Now I turn back to the message and can not help but rolling my eyes as I read the content. Kaitlyn: To miss you, I'd first have to know who you are. Unknown: Now I should be offended because I still know who you are. But I just can not be mad at you. Kaitlyn: Seth, right? Seth: All right, sweetheart. I just felt the need to write to you after you disappeared so fast. Kaitlyn: Well, you might have satisfied that need now, so look elsewhere. Seth: Do you want to get rid of me? Kaitlyn: Definitely! Seth: Well, then I will not tell you why I even wrote to you. Kaitlyn: I know why. Seth: Why? Kaitlyn: To annoy me. Seth: No, actually I wanted to invite you and your little pet to my party next weekend, but if you do not want to. This message actually surprises me, as I really did not expect it. But a party does not sound bad. But I do not like the thought of going to Seth's party at all. After all, I hardly know the guy and so far she's pretty unsympathetic to me. On the other hand, that would certainly be a good solution for making new contacts. Kaitlyn: Never call my best friend 'pet' again. Seth: Yeah, calm down. Won't happen again. Are you coming to my party now or not? Kaitlyn: I'll think about it. Seth: Alright, but I'd have liked a 'yes' better. Kaitlyn: Well, then you do not always get everything you want in life. Seth: But I do. I always get what I want. Kaitlyn: We'll see.
