“Let’s bring him here,” Marion said with determination and I nodded, standing up slowly, as Egan helped me. As he was being super-protective, he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and we followed Marion. I wouldn’t complain about him being over the top, as long as he kept me wrapped in his arms, in his warmth.
I was pretty fine with it. Now I just needed a bit more D-power in my life.
“Daniel, what are you doing there? She needs you!” Marion exclaimed.
“No, she doesn’t. She’s better off without me, and you know that.” I think I’ve never seen Daniel looking that down before.
“Of course, not! Don’t talk nonsense. You are her mate and she needs to feel you and the bond, you know that the mate bond can help healing faster!” Marion replied.
