  Egan    To my astonishment, after I crossed the wall of flames her hands were still clenching firmly around my shoulder. Her clothes were burned and her skin was flushed, but she wasn’t injured.  Cyrus roared loudly within my soul. She was alive! I could hardly believe it!  I wondered, what was Alma? Which kind of powerful magic did she harbor in her delicate frame? She couldn’t be a simple Fire Elementary like Daniel believed.  But it still didn’t wave the great feeling of guilt overtaking my soul. She and my baby were almost dead because of me. I was the cause of the chaos, danger, and possible demise in her life.
