  Alyssa’s condominium   Alyssa Dawson pulled herself together and looked out of the window. It was pitch-dark, and the night scenery of the lighted skyscrapers in Neon City was breathtaking.   She held the wine glass up to her cherry red lips and took a sip of the red wine, letting it permeate her throat drop by drop as her emptiness slowly overwhelmed her.
