Nathaniel looked at the calm woman in his car and he thought for one long minute. Firstly, having a bond with one of the most capable young women in Neon City wasn’t something he could gloat about. For one, he was always the man in his relationship with Regina. Since the good old days, he was the one who was super sweet with her, cajoling her when she was afraid, or giving her feet a massage when she was tired after a long date.
Then came the days when they both graduated and pursued their careers. He had secured a job following his internship at BX Co. Knowing that his meagre salary wouldn’t bring Regina happiness, and he had planned to propose to her at a later part in life, he tried harder and applied to bigger companies.
