Anna looked at the flash drive in front of her. It looked oddly familiar. After staring at it for a few seconds, she started sweating a little.
With a flick, she sent it flying across the seat, then turned to open the car door, clearly trying to make a run for it.
Julian, as if expecting it, reached out and easily pulled her back into his arms.
"Going somewhere?" His voice was casual, like warm water, but it still made Anna's skin crawl with nerves.
"Nowhere! I'm not going anywhere," she shook her head like crazy, quickly denying it while looking up at him with a sweet, fake smile.
Julian wasn't about to let her off that easy. He shot her a look, then shoved the flash drive back into her hand.
"Talk. What is this?"
