Anna didn't care what was going on with Jessica. Right now, her entire focus was on Lucy lying inside the hospital room.
Maybe Julian had given a heads-up, because the test results that were supposed to come out at night got delivered early—and even by the hospital director himself.
The report was filled with a bunch of medical jargon that went right over Anna's head. After glancing at it briefly, she turned her eyes to the chubby hospital director.
"Director, I just want to know...what's wrong with my mom?"
Her voice trembled slightly.
"Ms. Green, the exact diagnosis isn't confirmed yet. We need to run more tests. But don't worry, it probably isn't anything serious."
If it wasn't serious, then why hadn't her mom woken up yet? Why the further testing?
