Nana,I'll be back I need to use the restroom be back in a few,Mira said as she got up.

Kk be fast Mr Harris will soon be here for Geography class,Nana replied,scribbling something on her book.. Mira nodded after muttering 'yea sure thing'.

Mira walked into the the girls bathroom walking into one of the toilets,and then she heard footsteps and voices of other girls as they walked in chatting. she finished her business,she walked out of the toilet.

washing her hands with her head down and then she felt something trickle down her nose raising her face to see her reflection and her heart dropped when she saw blood trickling down,picking one of the paper towels she wiped it off,her leukemia was acting up again,she had seen this do many times so she was completely used to it.

She had gone through alot for her treatment always in and out of the hospital,had gone through four stages of chemotherapy. but it seems it was resurfacing again, the thought of being admitted in the hospital again really annoyed her,she stared at her reflection again and just chuckled at her horrible look,why wouldn't I be bullied,with this ugly face,her face was round and slim,her nose was a little bit flat with her plump lips and to sum it all up were her glasses with big round lenses,though it didn't seem that bad she just didn't like her look.

while still pitying herself and her life,three guys entered the girls bathroom and she suddenly felt chills run down her spine,she didn't need a prophet to tell her why the guys were in the ladies room,they surrounded her pushing her to a corner and they seemed like hungry lions ready to devour her until she heard that familiar voice,it was the same girl who sent her to go get soda but Nana didn't let her,the girl's name was Lisa.

Look Lisa I didn't mean to offend you,I'm really sorry I will go and get you the soda right away,Mira begged.

Oh really,so now you are willing to go and get it for me huh,what happened to your bravery,oh your body guard Nana isn't here,Lisa said as she pushed her head hitting her head to the wall.

Please Lisa I'm sorry,I'll do whatever you want just let me go I beg you,she begged again.

Tsk tsk tsk,no need to beg anymore you have lost that chance,gag her up,Lisa yelled.

one of the boys walked up to where she was and shoved a piece of cloth into her mouth and then tied her mouth with another,Mira struggled but she was held down and then tied up.

She was given a severe beating and then she was locked up in one of the toilets.

Help me!! someone helpe,she screamed,but no one could hear her as her screams were muffled by the piece of cloth in her moyth,she couldn't move,her entire body was hurting badly she felt her body shutting down slowly and soon she gave in to the darkness.

Where could she be,it's already closing time but she's nowhere to be seen,she said she was going to use the restroom quickly but three periods had passed and school had already closed but she's still nowhere to be seen,Nana murmured searching for her friend in every single class room,she checked the ladies room but she wasn't there,where could she have gone,she thought to herself.

I'm looking for Mira,she left class to use the restroom since the sixth period and she hasn't returned yet,I've tried calling her but her phone was in her backpack.

Have you checked the bathroom?!the teacher asked.

yes I have she wasn't in there

have you tried calling her home

yes and she wasn't at home but I told her parents not to worry.

Okay I have an idea,we should check the CCTV cameras,the lady said as she brightened up.

There are cameras in the girls bathroom,Nana yelled in surprise.

No dummy,only in the hall ways,we are simply going to check where she went to after she left the bathroom,he teacher replied after hitting her head with a pen.

Ouch that hurt,she grumbled as she followed her teacher,they watched the video carefully,and we're shocked to see boys entering the girls bathroom, there were also two girls but their faces were covered with hoodies entering with them.

soon the group came out but Mira never came out,Nana turned to face her teacher in shock,they both ran to the bathroom and checked each toilet cabinet but Amira wasn't in any of them.

They both stood confused as they stared at each othertgat,was when Nana realised that they didn't check one toilet,the was an out of order poster pasted on the door.

she quickly ran to the door and forced it open and the sight in front of her made her heart drop her best friend was tied up and unconscious with bruises all over her body,her face was swollen and parts of her clothes were torn.

Nana burst out in tears seeing her friend in that condition,she couldn't believe anyone would be this heartless...

Mira was rushed to the ER of the hospital,her mother was crying crazily,Nana just sat at a corner crying softly,Mira's dad stood quietly as he struggled to keep his tears if any single word of sympathy was directed to him at the moment he would definitely burst out in tears,his eyes were already heavy with tears.

The doctor came out of the operating room and his face gave them a clear picture of what news were coming to them.

Doc how is Mira doing,is she going to be fine,how is she !? her mom asked as her voice kept breaking due to excessive crying.

Mr park we tried our best but we can't save her,her body was beaten quite badly weakening her system and her leukemia acted up as well,her system cannot withstand so much strain,she wouldn't last long though,she has at least an hour to live so you can go in to see her before she passes,we are really sorry for not being able to save her,the doctor said and walked away.

Mira's mom fell to the floor as she wailed uncontrollably,the nurses had to hold her down to comfort her.

Mira opened her eyes as she heard sounds of machines beeping,she saw her parents,brother and get best friend sitting beside her with puffy eyes,her entire body ached in pain but the pain their eyes told her everything,she knew this day would come,but she never thought it would be this soon.

Hey guys!! what is with the puffy eyes huh,I'm going to a better place,I wouldn't feel pain anymore so why are you crying,Mira asked.

Nana burst out in tears,Mira I'm really sorry,i..I should have gone with you to the bathroom,I didn't protect you,I'm sorry,I'm really sorry,she said amidst tears.

Hey Bess it's not your fault okay,it was meant to happen,don't blame yourself,Mum,Dad I'm sorry for not telling you guys what had been going on at school,I just didn't want you to be worried about me,she said as tears ran down her cheeks.

You don't have to apologise my dear,we are responsible for this,we didn't notice anything we were not observant enough,her mom said wiping her tears.

It wasn't your fault either Mom,I hid it from you I'm really sorry,I wish I could stay longer but I have to go and no one can change that,Mira began.

I want you all to promise me that you will not cry for too long,you have to stay strong for me,else I won't be happy okay,she said.

We promise,that all said in response,as they sniffed and cried.

mommy can you sing my favorite lullaby the one you sang for me when I was little,she said.

Yes dear,let me sing for you,she said as she sat on the bed putting Mira's head on her lap as she Bagan singing.

The machine made a loud and long beep all the lines went straight,she was gone,her father slumped on the chair as he let the tears roll down his cheeks.

Nana burst out in tears and went into shock and soon she fell unconscious as well.
