Meghan's POV
"I am proud of you Meghan, you lasted for a month." Mrs. Martha complimented me after giving me my one-month salary.
"Uhm Mrs. Martha." I took a deep breath and hold the money tightly. Mrs. Martha waited for me to continue what I am about to say. She raised her right eyebrow and put both of her hands above the table giving me her full attention.
"Can I be assigned somewhere else? I can clean more than five hotel rooms if you want. I am okay to be assigned anywhere but not in Sir Connor's office." I looked at her trying to assess her reaction but she shook her head and looked at me sadly.
"I am sorry Meghan I cannot grant your request. You are the only one who was able to work there for a month. No one has the courage to work there except for you." I nod my head and accepte
