CHAPTER THIRTY Elsewhere, far from Golden City … Mirar groaned. Never in his whole life had he ever been in the pain he was in now. The closest he had ever come to experiencing such pain before was when he was first grafted to his Zero Armor. The grafting process—of fusing flesh to metal—had been the most horrendous pain of his life, even if it had lasted only five minutes.
