Discharged
When he could be discharged, Gabby and Daniel arrived at the hospital to fetch Josh. They walked into the room just as Josh was attempting to dress himself. Daniel greeted him excitedly. The moment she walked in, Josh noticed that Gabby, however, was irritated about something and that her mood was different.
“Wait, let me help you with that,” Gabby snapped. “Where are the nurses? You shouldn’t be doing this yourself.” She grabbed his shirt to put over his head. She didn’t kiss him hello like she usually did.
She smells so good, Josh thought, but was distracted by her irritated mood. He wondered whether a house deal had fallen through.
“I am still able to dress myself, you know. I don’t need the nurses for that,” he said.
